It’s fair to say that death is not the easiest subject to talk about for most people.
But it is important to think about our own funeral and discuss it with our family, so that we reduce the stress and worry for relatives in planning the financial arrangements after we die.
That’s why we have created a plan – Essen’Ciel – that is designed to provide a capital sum to cover the cost of funeral and other related expenses.
You decide on how much money will be needed (between 1,000€ and 10,000€). This is adjusted by 1% each year – but the premium you pay will remain fixed. And what’s more, this sum is not taxable and is free from inheritance tax. You can also decide on who will be the beneficiaries which could be family or another person (such as a funeral director).
If you decide that Essen’Ciel is not right for you, then it’s possible to stop making payments after one year.
But Essen’Ciel is more than just a funeral plan.
We understand that the death of a loved one can be extremely stressful for families so as part of the French funeral policy we will offer a counsellor to assist with making funeral arrangements, provide support to your children and grandchildren and look after your pets in your own home and repatriate your body should you die more than 50km from your house in France or abroad. We can also provide telephone support to relatives from trained, qualified psychologists for a period of up to 6 months after your death. And we can also advise on the legal and tax issues relating to death and inheritance.
Essen’Ciel is available for anyone between the ages of 50 to 85 years inclusive and you can apply without the need to complete a medical questionnaire. The cover will give you an immediate guarantee in case of accidental death or after 12 months in the case of death due to illness.
For the full Terms & Conditions please contact us and we shall be pleased to explain in further detail how Essen’Ciel works so you can decide if it will provide security and comfort for you and your family.
With Essen’Ciel you will have peace of mind that you have given your family one less thing to worry about after you die.
